Millersburg, Ohio. The Board of Trustees at Skyview Ranch are excited to announce that Pastor Jonathan Casbohm has accepted the call to serve as the camp’s new Executive Director. Pastor Jon and his family will transition to Skyview in the coming weeks and are eager to begin working with the current staff to strengthen the ministry in 2022. Pastor Jon was most recently serving as an Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church of Elyria, Ohio where he spent the last seven years leading in the areas of outreach and discipleship.

“God has uniquely prepared and clearly called Jon to this position” shares Kevin Fath, Board Chairman. “We have humbly prayed for God to bless us with a sharp, doctrinally-grounded, pastorally- gifted man to come to Skyview to lead the ministry. The board is excited to share how the Lord has answered as Jon has a heart for the Lord, and a love for people, along with the business-savvy to help SVR continue to be a gospel-centered ministry where spiritual life impact can occur.”

Jon has experience in business management, marketing, and counseling and holds degrees from Liberty University (BA-Business Marketing) and Piedmont International University (MA-Ministry). He is currently working on his Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling at Liberty University. His background in retail management and local church ministry uniquely positions him to help bolster the camps mission of supporting local churches and offering programming that encourages life impact.

Executive board member, Aaron Varner, had this to say of the appointment. “We are very excited to welcome Jon and Amber, and their children, as they step into this vital role at Skyview Ranch. With Jon’s love for Jesus, along with his gifting and experience, we are prayerfully expecting God to continue to do great things at Skyview. With Jon as our new Executive Director, I am confident that Skyview Ranch will be a special place where lives are impacted by Jesus Christ.”

For over 50 years, Skyview Ranch has sought to use the beautiful 175-acre property to God’s glory by pointing campers and guests toward our Savior, Jesus Christ. Over the last several years, Skyview has faced some difficult days. These exceptional challenges have caused those laboring at the ranch to re-evaluate, reinvest and recommit to the work God has called them to at Skyview. With the recent near completion of the camp’s 23,000 square-foot multi-purpose facility which includes a gymnasium, chapel venue, commercial kitchen, dining hall, conference rooms, and nursing station, Skyview is ready to carry on its mission for many years to come.
