Jonathan Casbohm
Executive Director
Jon joined the ministry of Skyview Ranch in 2022. Before coming to SVR, Jon spent 6 years in Pastoral ministry at First Baptist Church of Elyria, Ohio and 10 years in Business Management. He holds degrees in Business Marketing (B.A.-Liberty University) and Ministry (M.A.- Piedmont International Univ.), and is currently working on his Doctorate in Community Care & Counseling through Liberty University. Jon and his wife Amber have 5 children (Kali, Kayden, Kayci, Konnor and Klayton) and love serving in the ministry together. Jon is a member at First Baptist Elyria. When the Casbohms aren't serving at camp they love camping, playing sports, fishing, skiing/snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family.
Jon's Favorite Passage: Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

Josh Witry
Guest Services & Administrative Director
Josh has serving at SVR since 2013 as our former Office Director until stepping into his current position in 2018, serving for over twelve years in camp ministry. He is married to his wife Stephanie, and holds an M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Clarks Summit University. When not at work, Josh spends his time with Disc Golf, board games, running, reading, and entertaining his two cats Calcifer and Chihiro. He and his wife share an impressive library, and a love for collecting mugs!
Josh's Favorite Passage: Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Kaylie Klotzbach
Director of Communications and Outdoor Education
Kaylie has been serving on Skyview Ranch Summer Staff since 2016! She has worked as a lifeguard, cleaning staff, counselor and program director. She graduated from Cedarville University in 2022 with a degree in Environmental Science. She began her role as Director of Communications and Outdoor Education in 2023. Kaylie spent a year in Columbus as a Middle School Science Teacher before coming to work at Skyview. She enjoys anyting outside, drinking coffee, spending time with her family and cats, and watching Survivor.
Kaylie's Favorite Passage: 1 Corinthians 15: 3-7 - "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, then he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles."

Kent Hurlbert
Farm & Facilities Director
Kent began his ministry at Skyview Ranch in 2022. Kent is a carpenter by trade with a passion for ministry! With several years of camp ministry, Kent is positioned well to serve in his role at SVR effectively. Growing up, Kent spent time in New York state, New Mexico and Ohio. He has been a member of First Baptist Church of Elyria since Jr. High and has enjoyed serving in various ministries within the church. Kent spent one year studying world missions at Faith Baptist Bible College, but answered the call when he felt the Lord calling him to serve at Skyview Ranch full time. Kent loves the outdoors, rock climbing, biking, extreme sports, drawing and architectural design.
Kent's Favorite Passage: Romans 12:1-2 - " I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world,[c] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

Matt Schmidt
Director of Programming
Matt has been serving at SVR since early 2016, and has been serving in camp ministry for over eight years. He is married to his wife Stephanie, and they are joined by their dog, Ronin, a Rodesian Ridgeback. Matt is from Flint, Michigan, and after completing his high school years at Powers Catholic High School, Matt spent some time at Baptist Bible College of PA before going into full-time camp ministry. Matt and his wife Stephanie are currently members of Grace Church in Millersburg. As our resident director of fun, Matt enjoys his free time through climbing, firearms, and tabletop gaming.
Matt's Favorite Passage: 2 Cor 12:8-10 - "Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Sam Smerdel
Food Services Director
Sam has been part of the ministry at SVR since 2013! Since coming to Skyview Ranch Sam has held summer staff roles and was an intern before joining our full-time staff in 2021. He and his wife Abigail have been married since 2019 and they have one son (Solomon). Sam is originally from the Cleveland area and has been attending Skyview Ranch Camp since childhood. In his free time, Sam enjoys gaming with friends, exploring the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Sam's Favorite Passage: Philippians 2:14-16 - "Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain."

Dreama Nester
Office Director
Dreama has been part of the ministry at SVR since 2016! Since coming to Skyview Ranch, Dreama has been a summer camp counselor, program director, and served as an intern in 2017. Dreama began her current role as Office Director in 2021. Dream is originally from Mansfield, Ohio and started attended camp at Skyview in high school. Camp was instrumental in Dreama's spiritual growth and she loves being a part of the life change that God is doing at Skyview. Dreama enjoys exploring coffee shops, traveling to new places, and spending time with friends and family.
Dreama's Favorite Passage: Proverbs 3:5-8 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."

Sylvia Marang
Equine Director
Sylvia joined the Skyview Ranch ministry team in 2022! She attended camp at SVR for many years growing up and has always desired to serve at the Ranch. Sylvia is a member of First Baptist Church of Elyria. Sylvia loves animals, being outdoors, baking and drawing.
Sylvia's Favorite Passage: Romans 8:38-39 - "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor heights, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Jackie Fairbanks
Accountant
Jackie has been serving at SVR since 2010. She is married to her husband, Jim, and has three children named Amanda, Paul, and Phoebe. Jackie currently commutes from New Franklin, OH. She has a B.B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration from Kent State University, and has been a certified accountant since 1991. Outside of SVR, she loves scrapbooking, being entertained by Max the cat, spending time with her husband, and cheering on her kids in their favorite sports.
Jackie's favorite Passage: Phil 4:13 - "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."
